Last Cappadocia post I promise - bags packed and breakfasted, we left the hotel around 0830 and as we were driving through the valley we saw our first balloon.
And very soon, a few more came into view.
Our Coach Spokesman (Ian) then piped up and asked if we might see more in the valley and also have a chance to stop somewhere and take a few photos. After a quick consultation with Aziz, Göksel confirmed we could indeed make a detour and have a very short stop - we're both beginning to think that actually Aziz knows the tour better than our guide!
Anyway as we didn't get to ride in a balloon ourselves, here are just a few of the many pictures I took of others and remember this is off season.

I love how the pickup vehicles are following along.
I think the pylons rather spoil it.
I think I can count over 30 in this picture.
Is it my imagination or does this balloon seem to be missing a bit the right hand side?
As it turned out, having watched the balloons for 10 mins, Ian was very glad he didn't get the chance to go in one!
